The blurb from Goodreads:
A murder...A tragic accident...Or just parents behaving badly? What s indisputable is that someone is dead.
Madeline is a force to be reckoned with. She s funny, biting, and passionate; she remembers everything and forgives no one. Celeste is the kind of beautiful woman who makes the world stop and stare but she is paying a price for the illusion of perfection. New to town, single mom Jane is so young that another mother mistakes her for a nanny. She comes with a mysterious past and a sadness beyond her years. These three women are at different crossroads, but they will all wind up in the same shocking place.
Big Little Lies is a brilliant take on ex-husbands and second wives, mothers and daughters, schoolyard scandal, and the little lies that can turn lethal."

Oh wow! I thought this book was just perfect! The pacing was on point, the three main characters were real and likable, it was both funny and serious at the same time, and the plot was frighteningly believable! The reader is aware that a death has occurred at the beginning of the book but is unaware who has died or how it happened. Which "kindy" mom was it?  Did one of the moms get what was coming to her?  I really liked the way the author leads the reader on a journey to discover the answers. And I was so surprised! I honestly thought I had it all figured out early on, but I was wrong! I love it when that happens! I will say that I got ticked off so many times while reading this. Mothers can be just as vicious as kids..sometimes worse! It's a little scary that kindergarten politics are actually a thing in some places!

This was a very enjoyable read for me, and now I am off to watch the HBO mini-series. I hope it's as good as the book, but how bad could it be with Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley?! I would love to hear your thoughts on the book and/or the tv series below! Let's talk!
